The CDFB furthers its ministry in the following ways:
Local Support - organised by Regional Co-ordinators and Area Representatives. They maintain contact with members in their region and organise local workshops and fellowship days.
Conferences and workshops - on both a national and a regional level, give opportunities to meet people from all over Britain who want to learn and share together, to renew their vision, develop technique and explore new areas. See the diary for details of workshops and events.
Newsletters - the national newsletter is sent twice yearly to members to provide details of national and international conferences, festivals, workshops and courses, as well as regular articles on the many aspects of Christian dance. Regional newsletters are also sent out regularly giving local information.
Youth - a national Youth Co-ordinator is appointed to take special interest in developing the youth wing of the CDFB. A youth conference is held annually. The CDFB youth have their Facebook group.
Official CDFB merchandise is available from Kingdom Dance Resources, who also supply flags, tambourines, banners, books and other resources for Christian dance.
Internationally, CDFB is a member of the International Christian Dance Fellowship, which links Christian dancers and dance ministries around the world. We have strong ties with people in other creative art streams through the Christian Artists network and their annual conference. Some of our members are active internationally, running workshops and supporting dancers in other ways in Italy, the Netherlands, Germany, the USA and elsewhere. Our members often work with other Christian dance organisations such as Springs Dance Company, Pneumata, Sacred Dance Ministries International, and Movement in Worship.
Networking - We work closely with other groups and organisations that are involved in the arts and related areas. These include:
- Billy Art, artist and photographer, produces art prints of dancers and other subjects, such as the painting on the right and the photo at the top. His paintings are for sale on his site.
- Transform Work UK supports Christian workplace groups, including teachers, dancers and policemen. CDFB has joined with Transform Work UK at Spring Harvest and the Christian Resources Exhibition.
- Dance in a Bag offer a range of creative kinaesthetic products to support movement activities and creative play for early years and primary school classes.
