Treading the Grapes – CDFB in 2023

A year of pressing in, to release the wine God wants for the next season of CDFB.

I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit. John 15:5

Since Anna Arnold became National Coordinator in 2020, one bible verse has been significant: For such a time as this. Esther 4:14 And what a time it has been! A global pandemic which meant that – as a fellowship – we have had to rethink how we meet with and support one another, turning to modern technologies which enabled us to dance together across the UK.

But that season is now drawing to a close. We held our first fully in-person National Conference in Thornbury in October 2022; some of our fellowship were able to travel to Sweden in August for the ICDF international conference; and in September this year, we shall be holding our first weekend conference in six years (praise God!).

Now is the time to press into what God is wanting for CDFB going forward. We are to value the mature vintage, but also to produce new wine in Jesus’ Name.

There are several initiatives happening throughout the year – CDFB in 2023 – as we press in to release God’s wine of abundance for our national fellowship, and you can be a part of them!

Firstly there will be a monthly Pray & Dance on Zoom – on the 2nd Saturday of each month, beginning on 14th January, from 9.30 am to 10.30 am. It’s the same time slot of the ever-popular Technique Classes that ran successfully for 18 months, so hopefully it will slip easily back into your diary!
Login and password will be sent to members by email, if you’re not a current member but would like to pray and support CDFB, please contact nat-coord@cdfb.org.uk for login details.

Second, we are putting together a group of dedicated intercessors to provide prayer cover between now and September as we plan and prepare for the National Residential Conference 22nd-24th Sept.
If you are interested in praying, or would like to know more, please contact Anna at nat-coord@cdfb.org.uk or Tom at prayer-coord@cdfb.org.uk to join the team.

More water, more wine!
Jesus speaks many times of grapes, wine and wine presses. In John 2 Jesus performs his first miracle at a wedding banquet, by producing an over-abundant, over-generous quantity of wine from vats of water. While in Matt 9:17 he speaks of preserving both old and new wineskins through using them both appropriately. Whether you’re a vintage member of CDFB, a relatively new one, or just browsing this webpage to see what our fellowship is all about, we invite and encourage you to join the party.

Be a part of the conversation:

  • join us on Facebook and share what God is saying through you.
  • be a part of the 2nd-Saturday monthly prayer day (on zoom or on your own).
  • suggest other prayer initiatives, or set them up locally.
  • feedback to nat-coord@cdfb.org.uk or prayer-coord@cdfb.org.uk so we share to everyone thank you!
